Duplicate fields in the Search form causes the Search page to error out


If a form field that is already present in the SearchForm fields is added in again, accessing the Search page of that content type (Record/File/Box) will cause it to error out. Having duplicate form fields is not supported and this will be applicable to any of the content types - Record/File/Box.


Through the UI

  • In the RecordPoint site, go to Management -> General Settings
  • Under "Configure the fields used in RecordPoint forms", expand RecordPoint Form Fields
  • Select Record Type - (Record/File/Box), Form Type - SearchForm
  • Just click on Update (the duplicate field will not be shown here)
  • Refresh cache
